Simpathy Card

About three weeks ago the father of one of my husband's coworker passed away and my husband asked me to make a simpathy card for her.  This was the first time ever I had to make one and have to say I had a really hard time trying to come up with something.  I made two very simple versions of it and my husband chose the one with the dark blue background. The sentiment for the inside of the card is from the SU! Thoughts & Prayers Stamp set and it reads as follows:

                         "Praying for friends
                          to confort you,
                          faith to uphold you,
                          and loving memories
                          to heal your heart"

I think it's a beautiful sentiment.  Thanks for looking.

  • SU! corner punch
  • ATG tape gun
Materials:
  • SU! Crumb Cake cardstock
  • SU! Whisper White cardstock
  • Cloud 9 Specialty double-sided cardstock Pad.

My work-in-progress Craftroom

Hello, I have been pretty busy with work and haven't had a chance to create but today wanted to share some pictures of my work-in-progress craftroom. When we bought our house five years ago one of my many requests was to have an office since I work from home.  It turns out that I prefer to work at nights (no toddler asking for something every 3 minutes, hahaha), sitting on my comfy bed with my laptop, and the TV on as background noise.  Therefore, the office space was totally neglected.  Last year my DH suggested to move all my craft stuff to our office and it became my craftroom since then.  I still need to personalize it and but I like the way it is looking.  I love the fact that I have access to natural lighting, therefore I was able to put a dark color on the walls.  All the furniture is from IKEA and put together by wonderful husband.  I looove it!!!  Thanks for looking.

Fall 2009 Layout

Yes, I'm two years behind, but this is the second to last layout I need in order to complete my son's 2009 scrapbook.  Solid cardstock is from SU! (So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, and Tangerine Tango). Ribbon is also from SU! (So Saffron).  I cut the title using the Robotz and Designer's Calendar Cricut Cartridges and the leaves I cut them using my Cuttlebug and a set of four dies I found on clearance at Joann.  Patterned paper is from DCWV Doodlin' Around Cardstock Pack.  Sorry for the bad quality of the picture but my camera wasn't charged and took it with with my iPhone.  Thanks for looking!!
